Our Mission

The mission of CPCS is "to continue to promote a vision for Skaneateles that preserves and enhances the quality of life in our community and protects the integrity of Skaneateles Lake for generations to come."

Our Precious Assets

We share "joint ownership" of a community that is the envy of people across the United States and around the globe. We are blessed with:

  • A quaint village, pure lake, unique architecture, and a highly involved, interconnected population.
  • A concentration of people who are accomplished in a wide variety of life pursuits.
  • A safe, nearly ideal place to raise a family that can appreciate all that Central New York has to offer, and a comfortable place to enjoy a productive, active retirement.
  • A place where education, neighborliness, cultural enrichment, sports, recreation, healthy lifestyles, and community involvement give definition and true meaning to the term “quality of life.”

Yet these precious assets will be substantially altered, threatened or lost by proposed developments that will forever change the “character of Skaneateles.”

Special Request for Contributions

Our efforts to oppose the proposed Victory Sports Enterprises Medical/Sports Complex have really paid off!  With the community’s help, we have successfully de-railed the once-imminent approval of the proposal, which would have been disastrous for Skaneateles.

But the battle is not over.  The developer continues to push his plan.

It is now necessary for us to raise $5,000 as soon as possible for payment of continuing legal fees and engineering/traffic studies.

Our goal is for 50 contributors to step up and donate $100 each.  (If you’d like to contribute more, that’s fine, too!)

To donate, send your check, payable to CPCS, to:  CPCS, PO Box 689, Skaneateles, NY 13152

Or you can donate on line!  Web donations can be made via this form.  Donations can be made once or on a recurring basis and can be anonymous.

We thank you and encourage you to actively follow the developments relating to the VSM project and contact me, Jim Moore, at 315.345.2726 if you have any questions.
